LPP Development Studio — 100% original code & puzzle generation
Last updated: May 25, 2026 · Version 2.0 · Privacy & Puzzle Integrity
INDEPENDENT APP – NO COMMERCIAL AFFILIATION: This Sudoku Game is developed and published solely by LPP Development Studio. We are not affiliated, associated, authorized, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with any third‑party puzzle brands, trademark holders, or commercial sudoku publications (including but not limited to Nikoli, Knight Features, Syndicated Puzzles, or any newspaper sudoku franchises). Any resemblance to existing puzzle designs, layouts, or difficulty names is purely coincidental and fortuitous. All puzzles are generated algorithmically by our proprietary, non‑infringing code.

Non‑Affiliation & No Lawsuit Pledge

FOR CLARITY AND LEGAL SAFETY: LPP Development Studio confirms that the “Sudoku Game” application is an original work. The term "Sudoku" is used in its generic sense to describe a logic-based number‑placement puzzle, and no claim is made to any exclusive right. We do not use copyrighted puzzle databases, licensed grid collections, or any proprietary puzzle format owned by external entities. Every single puzzle presented inside the app is generated in real‑time by our own deterministic logic engine (backtracking with symmetry, uniqueness validation). There is zero commercial partnership with any printed sudoku publisher. If any layout accidentally resembles a known puzzle, it is a mathematical coincidence due to the finite nature of valid sudoku grids.

LPP Studio disclaims all liability for any claims of trademark dilution or unfair competition, as we operate purely as an independent software creator. Users are also reminded that any in-game leaderboards, if present, contain no reference to third‑party brands. This privacy policy serves as a legal safe harbor: we are not "Sudoku™" or affiliated with any entity that claims proprietary rights over the puzzle format.

1. Introduction & Scope

LPP Development Studio ("LPP", "we", "our", or "us") provides the Sudoku Game (mobile, web, or desktop application) – a logic puzzle tool designed for entertainment, cognitive training, and relaxation. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle any personal information when you download, install, or interact with our game. Because the core experience is offline‑first and puzzle generation occurs locally (or via minimal cloud features), data collection is extremely limited and never includes selling your data.

By using Sudoku Game, you acknowledge that this policy is binding and that we operate entirely independently from any newspaper, puzzle syndicate, or commercial sudoku brand. Our mission is to provide an ad‑free, tracking‑optional environment for puzzle lovers.

2. Information We Collect

Our game collects only strictly necessary data to improve functionality and save your preferences. We never collect any information about the numbers you place in the puzzle, because solving progress is stored only on your device.

2.1 Voluntarily provided information

  • Optional user profile: If you create a username for online leaderboards (if enabled), we store only the nickname and encrypted player ID. No real name, email, or password required.
  • Support feedback: When you contact our support via email, we collect your email address and any details you provide to resolve issues.

2.2 Automatically collected technical data

  • Device information: App version, operating system version, device model (anonymized).
  • Crash logs: Stack traces and performance metrics to debug errors – never associated with solved puzzle data.
  • Game statistics (aggregated): Optional telemetry about completed puzzle counts, average completion time (opt‑out available). No specific cell values or puzzle solutions are transmitted.

2.3 What we never collect – explicit zero‑data zones

  • ✖ We do not collect the actual digits you place in sudoku cells.
  • ✖ We do not record puzzle state or unfinished games on our servers.
  • ✖ We do not access your contacts, photos, or microphone.
  • ✖ We do not track your location (GPS or IP geolocation).

3. How We Use Your Information

LPP uses the limited data we collect for the following legitimate purposes:

  • Core functionality: To store game settings (theme, sound, difficulty preferences) locally and in the cloud (if sync enabled).
  • Improving puzzle generator: Aggregated, anonymous data on which difficulty levels are most played helps us fine‑tune the algorithm’s symmetry and clue distribution.
  • Technical support & crash resolution: Crash reports allow us to fix bugs and ensure smooth gameplay.
  • Legal compliance & fraud prevention: To enforce our terms (no cheating, no harassment on leaderboards) and respond to lawful requests.

Under no circumstances do we use your data for targeted advertising, as our game contains no third‑party ads or promotional networks.

4. Puzzle Generation – 100% In‑House Code

All sudoku grids presented in the app are generated algorithmically by LPP’s proprietary engine, written from scratch. The engine follows classic sudoku rules (9x9, digits 1-9, rows/columns/boxes unique). It uses a randomized backtracking solver combined with symmetric clue placement to guarantee a single solution. No puzzle is sourced from external databases, books, or commercial puzzle packs. Therefore, any similarity to puzzles distributed by third parties is purely fortuitous and not intentional.

To further avoid legal ambiguity, we do not use trademarked puzzle names like "Samurai Sudoku" or "Killer Sudoku" without clarifying generic use; all variant modes are clearly described as original interpretations.

5. Sharing & Disclosure of Information

LPP never sells, rents, or trades personal information. Limited sharing occurs only in these contexts:

  • Service providers: We use Apple App Store, Google Play, or a secure cloud sync provider (if you enable backup of settings). Those processors are bound by data protection agreements and cannot use data for other purposes.
  • Legal requirements: If mandated by court order, law enforcement, or applicable regulation, we may disclose information after attempting to notify you.
  • Business transfer: In case of a merger or acquisition, user data would be transferred with continued protection under this policy.

We have no partnerships with advertising networks, data brokers, or puzzle syndicates. Leaderboard data (nickname and score) is public only within the game community, and you can delete it anytime.

6. Data Security & Retention

All data stored on our servers (if you use cloud saves) is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). Local app data remains under your device’s sandbox security. We retain anonymous gameplay aggregates indefinitely for improvement, but personal data (nickname, email from support) is deleted within 24 months of inactivity or upon your request. Crash logs are anonymized after 90 days.

Puzzle generation logs: We do not store any history of puzzles generated for you. Each session is ephemeral.

7. Your Privacy Rights (GDPR / CCPA / LGPD)

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal data processed by LPP:

  • Right to access – Request a copy of data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification – Correct inaccuracies.
  • Right to erasure – Request deletion (subject to legal retention).
  • Right to restrict processing – Limit how we use your data.
  • Right to data portability – Receive machine-readable copy.
  • Right to object – Opt out of analytics telemetry.

To exercise any right, email [email protected]. We respond within 30 days. California residents: we do not sell personal information as defined by CCPA, and we do not discriminate for exercising rights.

8. Cookies & Local Storage

The Sudoku Game uses local storage (IndexedDB / SharedPreferences) to save your preferences, active puzzle state, and statistics. No cross-site tracking cookies are used. If you play the web version, only essential session cookies are set for login (if any). You can clear local data via your browser or device settings without affecting core puzzle generation.

We use privacy-friendly analytics (no permanent identifiers) to count daily active users – you can disable this in the settings menu ("Send anonymous usage data").

9. Children’s Privacy

Sudoku Game is suitable for all ages, but we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in certain regions). If we discover that a child has provided any personal data (e.g., via support form), we delete it immediately. Parents or guardians may contact us to request removal of any inadvertently collected information. The game does not feature chat, social logins, or behaviorally targeted ads.

10. International Data Transfers

LPP is based in the European Union (France). If you access Sudoku Game from outside the EU, your data may be transferred to and processed in the EU or in secure cloud regions (US/EU). For transfers from the EEA to the US, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable. By using the game, you consent to such transfers where necessary for providing the cloud sync feature.

11. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA/UK)

Our lawful bases for processing personal data are: (a) Performance of a contract (providing the game functionality you requested); (b) Legitimate interests (improving the app, crash analytics, and puzzle generation quality); (c) Consent (for optional telemetry). You may withdraw consent at any time via in-app settings.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy & Puzzle Originality Pledge

We may update this policy periodically. If changes affect your rights, we will notify you via in-app notice or email (if provided). The most current version always appears at this location. We also reaffirm that any future modification will never introduce hidden data collection or commercial affiliation with sudoku trademark holders. This document is legally binding and reflects LPP’s commitment to an original, non‑infringing puzzle experience.
